we are dancing in the
rain, blood burning -
yearning for the
taste of sweet symphonies
yet undiscovered. we
are pioneers; cosmonauts
from the start so
no longer will we look
down at the dirt and
drown old graves in
tears. these
spaceships
fly too slow
for dreamers, we
will ride on the
back of comets
into the depths
of our universe
and if you hear the
light singing even
as it vanishes into
black holes remember
the most beautiful
things are often blue
from sadness.
(there can be no light without darkness)
Your steps enslave me,
Your beauty hurts my eyes,
Your smile burns my heart,
Your eyes murder me,
Your voice punishes me,
Your dance bleeds me,
I shouldn't like you, but I do.
The statue stands still, gazing at those who have, are and will pass by.
It is criticised, it is praised, but no matter what, the statue remains idle.
It seeks neither fortune nor fame, it desires neither compliments nor blames.
What does the statue truly want then?
Life.
Pou
I am a scientist;
Pinning down ideas
like butterflies
preserving them in
their fragile beauty
as I take away their freedom,
their life.
I am a parasite;
sucking the soul out
of music and leaving it
a hollow shell
that plays like
the noisy silence in
my ears.
I am a thief;
taking what is not mine,
the world around me,
and pouring it into
a mould that
I claim is
my own.
I am a blasphemer;
playing God in a
sacred place, changing
the world to my
liking when the orchestra
is not under my
conduction.
I am a liar;
selling false havens
to lonely runaways,
giving them a glimpse
of a world more glamorous,
more fantas
